Our Story

A Shop Built on
Intention

Apples & Bananas began with a simple conviction: that the everyday act of choosing food and gifts should feel as meaningful as the moments those things are shared. Nestled in the heart of Johnstown at the Galleria, we've built a space where quality isn't assumed — it's demonstrated in every item on our shelves.

We partner with regional orchards, small-batch producers, and independent artisans to bring you selections you won't find in a conventional market. Our produce arrives fresh, our pantry staples are chosen for flavor and sourcing, and our gift collections are curated seasonally so there's always something new to discover.

Whether you're gathering ingredients for a weeknight dinner, building a charcuterie spread for guests, or searching for a gift that carries genuine thoughtfulness, this is the place where intention meets inventory.

Our Philosophy

Quality That Speaks
Without shouting

We don't believe in overwhelming selections or flashy displays. What we offer instead is a carefully edited collection — every item chosen so you never have to wonder whether it's worth your money or your time.

Our team knows the growers behind the produce, the makers behind the goods, and the stories behind each product. When you shop with us, you're not just buying something — you're participating in a supply chain built on respect for craft, community, and quality.
